PALS– CAMP-2
As part of the Public Awareness Lecture Series (PALS) initiative by Subharti Dental College and Hospital, the Department of Periodontology and Implantology organized an Oral Health Awareness Camp on 18th April 2026 in the Pahlson International School, village of Jatpura, located near Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The camp was initiated by Dr. Mayur Kaushik, Professor and Head of the Department, with the aim of spreading awareness about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene, especially in rural communities. During the camp, free dental check-ups were conducted, and treatments were provided through a mobile dental van. Patients were educated on basic oral hygiene practices such as proper tooth brushing techniques, the correct use of toothpaste, and the benefits of using mouthwash. Informative discussions were held to highlight the role of oral health in overall well-being.
Around 150 patients were screened and guided individually about their oral health needs. The camp activities were carried out by Dr. Nitin Tomar (Professor), Dr. Ginni Verma, and Dr. Aman Narang, Dr. Abhishek Sharma & Dr. Amitesh Gautam (Postgraduate students), along with a team of enthusiastic interns. The camp saw active participation from villagers and helped bridge the gap in dental awareness and accessibility.
