Report on Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “CO-PO Mapping”
Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), under Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Course Outcome (CO) and Program Outcome (PO) Mapping on 29th May 2026 at MASCHNYS.
The program was conducted with the objective of enhancing faculty understanding of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and strengthening the implementation of effective teaching-learning and assessment practices in accordance with academic quality standards.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Archana Anilkumar, Assistant Professor, MASCHNYS, who delivered an informative and comprehensive presentation on the significance of CO-PO Mapping in higher education. She explained the importance of aligning course outcomes with program outcomes to ensure effective curriculum delivery, student learning, and continuous academic improvement.
During the session, Dr. Archana elaborated on the formulation of measurable course outcomes, mapping techniques, assessment methods, and the role of CO-PO Mapping in accreditation and quality assurance processes. She also highlighted how outcome-based education contributes to the holistic development of students and enhances the overall quality of academic programs.
The workshop included practical demonstrations, examples, and interactive discussions that enabled faculty members to understand the application of CO-PO Mapping in their respective subjects. Participants actively engaged in the session and clarified their queries related to curriculum planning, outcome attainment, and assessment strategies.
The program proved to be highly informative and beneficial for all participants, enabling them to strengthen their academic planning, teaching methodologies, and evaluation practices.
The Faculty Development Program was coordinated by Dr.Simran Malhotra, Demonstrator, MASCHNYS, who ensured the smooth organisation and successful execution of the event.
