Honouring the Healers: MASCHNYS Celebrates National Doctors’ Day with Inspiration and Purpose
In a heartfelt tribute to the unwavering dedication of the medical fraternity, the Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), Meerut, celebrated National Doctors’ Day on 1 July 2026 in Lecture Theatre-5 (LT-5). Commencing at 9:00 AM, the programme brought together students and faculty to recognize the invaluable contributions of doctors and reaffirm the ideals of compassionate healthcare.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Sonia Ningombam, Tutor (MASCHNYS), whose efforts ensured a meaningful celebration dedicated to acknowledging the tireless service of medical professionals. The programme served not only as a tribute to doctors but also as an opportunity to inspire aspiring healthcare practitioners to embrace the principles of empathy, ethical practice, professionalism, and patient-centred care.
The highlight of the celebration was an enlightening keynote address by Dr. Shivaji Vilas Chobe, Associate Professor (MASCHNYS), who eloquently reflected on the significance of National Doctors’ Day and the profound responsibility entrusted to medical professionals. Emphasizing that medicine is more than a profession, it is a lifelong commitment to healing and humanity. He encouraged students to cultivate knowledge, integrity, resilience, and compassion as the cornerstones of their future careers. His inspiring words resonated deeply with the audience, motivating them to strive for excellence while remaining steadfast in their commitment to serving society.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 28 students, whose active engagement enriched the interactive session and reflected their keen interest in the values and responsibilities of the medical profession. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the distinguished resource person and all the participants for making the occasion both memorable and impactful.
