Report on Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme on “Naturopathy Diagnostic Methods”
A Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme on the theme “Naturopathy Diagnostic Methods” was successfully organized by Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, on 10th July 2026.
The programme was conducted at the Conference Hall, 2nd Floor, Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS). The CME aimed to enhance the knowledge and clinical skills of Post Graduate students and Faculty regarding various diagnostic methods employed in naturopathy and their significance in holistic patient assessment and management.
The programme commenced with a brief introduction highlighting the importance of accurate diagnosis in naturopathy for planning individualized treatment. The speakers explained the principles of naturopathic assessment, emphasizing the identification of the root cause of disease through natural and holistic diagnostic approaches. Various diagnostic methods, including case history taking, physical examination, constitutional assessment, observation, palpation, and basic clinical evaluation, were discussed in detail. The session also highlighted the role of lifestyle assessment, dietary evaluation, and patient counselling in the naturopathic diagnostic process.
The scientific sessions were delivered by Dr Shivaji Chobe, Associate Professor (MASCHNYS) and Dr.Simran Malhotra, Demonstrator (MASCHNYS). Both speakers provided comprehensive insights into the theoretical concepts as well as the practical application of naturopathy diagnostic methods through interactive discussions and clinical examples.
Objectives of the CME Programme
- To enhance knowledge of naturopathy diagnostic methods among students and faculty.
- To understand the principles of holistic patient assessment in naturopathy.
- To develop competency in history taking and physical examination.
- To familiarize participants with constitutional and lifestyle assessment techniques.
- To promote evidence-based and patient-centred naturopathy practice.
The programme was attended by 48 postgraduate students and faculty members from MASCHNYS, who participated with great enthusiasm and interest throughout the event. The sessions were highly interactive, with participants actively engaging in discussions and clarifying their clinical queries. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Kh. Geetarani Devi, Assistant Professor and Programme Coordinator, who ensured the smooth organization and successful conduct of the CME.
The CME concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session followed by a vote of thanks. The programme proved to be highly informative and beneficial, enriching the participants’ understanding of naturopathy diagnostic methods and strengthening their clinical approach towards holistic patient care.
