Tray and Badge Making Competitions Organized by Department of Physical Education at SVSU
Meerut, 30 September 2026: The Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), Meerut, organized Tray Making and Badge Making Competitions at the departmental level on 30 September 2026. The Tray Making Competition was held at Room No. 308, while the Badge Making Competition was conducted at the 6th Floor, Department of Physical Education. The activities aimed to promote creativity, innovation, artistic expression and active participation in co-curricular and cultural activities.
A total of 39 participants, including 27 students and 12 teachers, enthusiastically participated in both activities. The competitions provided participants with an opportunity to showcase their imagination, creativity, artistic skills and ability to transform simple materials into attractive and meaningful designs.
In the Tray Making Competition, participants creatively decorated trays using a variety of materials such as fabric, flowers, ribbons, beads and other decorative items. They demonstrated their skills in selecting materials, arranging decorative elements, and presenting their final designs. Special attention was given to originality, neatness, colour combinations, aesthetic presentation, and effective utilization of available resources.
The Badge Making Competition encouraged participants to design and prepare creative badges using chart paper, ribbons, decorative items, and other craft materials. Participants displayed innovative ideas through different badge designs, demonstrating originality, creativity, neatness, and effective use of materials.
Both activities created an enthusiastic and vibrant atmosphere in the department and provided an opportunity for students and teachers to participate together in a creative environment. The competitions encouraged creative thinking, practical skills, aesthetic sense, planning ability, confidence, presentation skills, and healthy competitive spirit among the participants.
The programmes were conducted under the guidance of Dr. Manju Adhikari, Head, Department of Physical Education. Her guidance and encouragement contributed to the successful organization of both activities. The events also received valuable support and encouragement from Dr. Pintu Mishra, Dean, Faculty of Education, SVSU, towards promoting creative, cultural, and co-curricular activities among students.
The competitions were coordinated by Ms. Deepanshu Choudhary, Assistant Professor and Cultural In-charge, Department of Physical Education, who coordinated the participants and overall arrangements and encouraged students to participate actively.
The Tray Making and Badge Making Competitions concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students and teachers. The creative efforts and active involvement of all participants were appreciated by the department. The activities served as meaningful platforms for nurturing creativity, talent, confidence, artistic expression, and holistic development beyond regular academic activities.
