Anti-Ragging Awareness program “Nukkad Natak”
Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), Meerut, in collaboration with the Anti-Ragging Squad, SVSU, organised a Nukkad Natak (Street Play) on 17 August 2026 near Charak Medical Store, SVSU, as part of Anti-Ragging Week 2026.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging and its adverse impact on their physical, mental and emotional well-being. Through the powerful medium of street theatre, the presentation conveyed the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful and ragging-free educational environment.
The Nukkad Natak highlighted the values of dignity, discipline, mutual respect, empathy and responsible behaviour. Students were encouraged to speak out against ragging, support their peers and actively contribute towards building a positive and harmonious campus culture.
The initiative reflected the commitment of MASCHNYS and the Anti-Ragging Squad, SVSU, to strengthening anti-ragging awareness and ensuring a secure academic environment. It reinforced the message that every student deserves to learn, grow and participate in campus life without fear, harassment or discrimination.
The Nukkad Natak received appreciation for its meaningful social message and effective use of street theatre as a medium of student awareness. The programme concluded with a collective appeal to uphold the spirit of unity, respect and responsibility and to work together towards creating a safe, inclusive and ragging-free campus.
