Exhibition organized in
Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery of Applied Art Department
Today on 12th April 2025 at 10:30 am, an exhibition was organized in the Raja Ravi Varma Kur Art Gallery of the Department of Applied Humidity, Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Art and Fashion Design, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut, in which poster paintings, press advertisements, illustration photography and other paintings made by the students studying in PGI and PG courses under the department were displayed.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the CEO of the university Professor Dr. Shailya Raj and the chief guest Professor Dr. Archana Rani, the head of the Fine Arts Department of RG PG College Meerut and the Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. Major General G.K. Thapliyal. During this event, the Dean of the Faculty and Head Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, along with the Head of the Department Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Gupta, welcomed the honorable guest by presenting a flower plant and a ceremonial stole. Additionally, Coordinator Dr. Anshu Srivastava, Exhibition Coordinator Dr. Ashish Mishra, faculty member Mr. Lucky Tyagi, Ms. Priyanka Singh, as well as the Heads of Departments and teachers from other departments of the faculty, were also present. Three prizes were announced by the organizing committee of the exhibition, in which the first prize was given to Srishti BFA third year, Isha Ansari BFA final year and the third prize was given to Avni Jain BFA second year. Apart from this, three consolation prizes were also announced, which were given to BFA final year student Shalini Sharma, BFA second year student Aastha Verma and Shaloni Rajput.
The presence of students during the exhibition was commendable. During this, the students informed the guests about the work done by them and discussed their work in detail. The CEO of the university, Dr. Shalya Raj was very impressed by the poster of second year student Avni Jain which was inspired by aquatic animals and assured to work on this theme in the university on the upcoming World Environment Day. All the guests sent their best wishes to the students. Overall, the exhibition organized by the Department of Applied Art was a success.
