Under the aegis of Unnat Bharat, an awareness program on community engagement and social responsibility was organized by the teachers and students of Liberal Arts and Humanities Department of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University Meerut on 28.04.2023 at village Bhola. The enthusiasm of the villagers and the village head in this program was commendable. Dr. Avinash Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor of Agricultural Science, invited by the Department of Liberal Arts and Humanities under the programme, informed the villagers about crop cycle and different types of crop kits and ways to avoid them.
During the program, Dr. Shravan Kumar Garg, Dr. Dhirpal Singh, Dr. Neha Verma, Dr. Vishal Kumar and Dr. Ankit Tiwari informed the villagers about the various schemes run by the government from time to time related to rural development and how they were benefited from these schemes.
In the program, the students presented a street play on forest conservation and gave a message to the villagers to stop the felling of trees and insist on planting more and more trees.
Village head Mrs. Rajlakshmi ji appreciated this program organized by the students and teachers and insisted that such technical and informative programs should continue in the village. Dr. Rahul Sirohi, coordinator of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Swami Vivekananda University, praised the program and Faculty Head, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Dr. Sudhir Tyagi and Head of Department, Department of Liberal Arts and Humanities, Dr. Manoj Kumar Tripathi called the program successful.
