Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College organized an Awareness Program on Menstrual Hygiene on 10th February 2026 at Lecture Theatre–1 (LT-1), 1st Floor, PDMSNC, for 29 B.Sc. Nursing students of the 2025 batch. The program aimed to create awareness about proper menstrual hygiene practices and to educate students on the correct use and safe disposal of sanitary napkins through a vending machine and incinerator. The program began with lamp lighting, symbolizing knowledge and awareness. An informative lecture on menstrual hygiene was delivered by Mrs. Jasbir Ma’am, Associate Professor, who explained the importance of maintaining hygiene during menstruation, prevention of infections, and overall physical and mental well-being. This was followed by a demonstration of the sanitary napkin vending machine and incinerator by Ms. Divya, Assistant Lecturer, which helped students understand proper usage and disposal methods. Later, B.Sc. Nursing 6th Semester students presented a role play highlighting common myths and misconceptions related to menstruation and the importance of awareness and confidence. The program was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Geeta Parwanda, Dean and Principal, PDMSNC, and was successfully coordinated by Ms. Divya, Assistant Lecturer. The awareness program was informative and beneficial, promoting healthy menstrual hygiene practices among nursing students.
