Awareness Workshop on Alternative Systems of Medicine

An awareness workshop on Alternative Systems of Medicine was successfully organized in the Department of Home Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. The workshop was conducted as part of a series of lectures initiated by Subharti Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Science to create awareness about the various alternative medical facilities available at the university hospital.
The workshop was organized under the guidance and coordination of Dr. Shalu Nehra, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science. The primary objective of the program was to sensitize students and faculty members about the significance of Naturopathy and Yogic Science in promoting holistic health, preventive care, and overall well-being.The session was graced by external members including Dr. Sartaj Aehmad, Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Pawan Parashar, Medical Superintendent, CSSH, and Dr. Vineet, Assistant Professor, BNYS who conducted the workshop and shared valuable insights on natural healing therapies, yogic practices, lifestyle modification, and the facilities available at Subharti Hospital.
The program commenced with a welcome by Dr. Jyoti Gaur, Head of the Department of Home Science, who highlighted the growing importance of alternative systems of medicine in the present health scenario.

All faculty members of the Department Dr. Nishma Singh, Dr. Neetu Yadav, Dr. Mansi Chaudhary, and Dr. Manshi Tyagi actively contributed to the successful organization and smooth execution of the workshop. Their support and involvement played a vital role in making the event meaningful and impactful.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in the session and interacted during the question-and-answer segment. Their keen interest reflected the relevance and usefulness of the topic.

The program proved to be highly informative and beneficial for all attendees. It significantly enhanced awareness regarding natural and preventive healthcare approaches and encouraged the adoption of healthy lifestyle practices.

The Department of Home Science extends heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their valuable presence and active participation, which made the workshop a great success.
