“Career Counseling Session”

The career counselling programs aim at providing assistance to the students in choosing a major career path. The students are able to clearly understand the career exploration process and how their own skills and interests match up to a chosen career path. In order to benefit our students, Under the guidance of University Career Counselling Cell, Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Department of Home Science organised “Career Counseling Session” 19th Jan ’24 at LT-2 Hall.

 The event was engaged and smoothly conducted by Ms Urvashi Sharma, Assistant professor Department of Home Science and University Career Counselling Cell Member. The session was taken by Respected External speaker Dr Sunayan Sharma, Assistant Professor Amity Institute of Food Technology, Amity University since 2019. The session commenced with the welcome of the external speaker by HOD Home Science Dr Nishma Singh by giving a planter. Dr Sunayan in her session enlightened the students about the Resume writing skills, Introduction skills and Interview skills.She focused on the fact that confidence is the key to clear any interview and effective resume writing increases one’s chances for being called for an interview. She guided students about what points to mention in a resume. Further she asked some students to introduce themselves and then instructed the students about the things to be added and omitted in your crisp introduction in an interview.

In the end Dr Nishma Singh and the faculties department gave the guest a small token of appreciation from Subharti University.The session was concluded by Vote of thanks by Ms Urvashi who thanked all the people who were of help in smooth conduction of the program.Students’ queries were taken in the end and appropriate guidance was given.
