From Dreams to a Banyan Tree: Silver and Jubilee of Subharti Medical College Batch 2000
A grand Silver Jubilee Alumni Reunion ceremony of the MBBS 2000 batch was organized at the Hari Singh Nalwa Convention Centre of Subharti Medical College, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal of the Medical College, Dr. M.K. Mittal, Vice-Principal Dr. Satyam Khare, Dr. A.K. Saxena and Dr. Rahul Bansal, followed by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Sangh Mata Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. M.K. Mittal said that the sapling planted years ago by the founders of the Subharti Group, Dr. Atul Krishna and the Late Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar, has now grown into a banyan tree. This Silver Jubilee is not only a celebration of the achievements of the 2000 batch but also a tangible manifestation of the founders’ dreams. Vice-Principal Dr. Satyam Khare extended his heartfelt wishes to all the alumni present at the ceremony. He informed that the students of the MBBS 2000 batch of Subharti Medical College have achieved specialization in medical science and are providing their healthcare services across the country and the world. Most of the students of this batch are providing medical education and healthcare services in fields such as medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, radio diagnosis, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, public health, community health, pathology, forensic medicine, microbiology, biochemistry, anatomy, cancer and nuclear medicine, etc. In addition, many are providing healthcare services in the state and central governments.
At the ceremony, the doctors, reunited after twenty-five years, shared their heartfelt thoughts, reminiscing about their golden days spent at Subharti. The reunion of the alumni and their teachers created an emotional and inspiring atmosphere. Alumni from the 2000 batch visited Subharti University’s Buddhist Garden, Martyr’s Memorial, Art Gallery, and Culture Building.
During the program, the 2000 batch students of Subharti Medical College honoured their teachers by presenting them with mementoes and shawls.
These included Dr. Satyam Khare and Dr. Shilpi Jain from the Anatomy Department, Dr. Kiran Singh from the Physiology Department, Dr. Rani Bansal, Dr. Anjali Khare, and Dr. Sangeeta Sharma from the Pathology Department, Dr. Anita Pandey from the Microbiology Department, Dr. Surbhi Gupta from the Pharmacology Department, Dr. A.K. Saxena from the ENT Department, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar from the Ophthalmology Department, Dr. Rahul Bansal, Dr. Seema Jain, Dr. Pawan Parashar, Dr. Bhavna Pant, Dr. Tanveer Bano, and Dr. Sartaj Ahmad from the Community Medicine Department, Dr. Rajiv from the General Medicine Department, Dr. Sanjay Pandey from the General Surgery Department, Dr. Archana Swarn and Dr. Nidhi Pandey from the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Dr. Kamal Swarn from the Orthopedics Department, and Dr. Arvind Krishna from the Dermatology Department, among other teachers. Dr. Alankar and Dr. Pragati Singh compared the event. They moved everyone by sharing their memories from twenty-five years ago. A souvenir was also released during the ceremony. Dr. Shobhit Raizada presented the vote of thanks.
The entire program was successfully organized under the joint coordination of Professor Dr. Monika Gupta from the Community Medicine Department and Dr. Shobhit Raizada from the Anatomy Department.
