The District Horticulture Officer of Meerut District, Shri Ram Veer Singh Rathore has given a citation “Green Zone” upon a thorough inspection of the gardens and lawns of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University.

During the inspection, he has divided the university into 8 green zones with each zone having fruitful, evergreen, ornamental trees and shrubs. In addition, there are over 2000 indoor and pot plants in the campus.

Shri Ram Veer Ji also emphasizes on the fact that at Subharti we not only believe in gardening but taking care of the health and wellbeing of each and every plant. He added that, “I’m amazed to see the fact that here at Subharti every single plant and tree is being cared for as a child. The gardners not just take care about the hygiene of the plants and trees but their neighborhood as well. Here every branch of every big tree is cut by fine techniques of pruning. Apart from this they also apply copper oxychloride to prevent them from being affected by mildew.”

He concluded his inspection by stating that all the eight green zones are well-developed, well-organized, and the image of its horticultural rich campus is unforgettable and its green zone is praised by everyone.

We keep letting you also know that, in July 2020, “Akshayvat Nursery” was also established in the University premises, which was also visited by Rathore Ji and he also appreciated the work done at the nursery.
