As a part of international nurses day celebration, we have conducted webinar on “Counseling Approaches & Psychological Wellbeing in Covid-19 Pandemic” in Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College on 13/05/2021 & 17/05/2021. The programme started with introduction by the department of mental health nursing.

Asso.Prof.Arun.R ,HOD Dept of Mental Health Nursing , introduced all the speakers. The  welcome speech was given by Asso.Prof.Arun.R, Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College. He focused on Counseling Approaches & Psychological Wellbeing in Covid-19 Pandemic situation.

DAY:1 13/05/2021

The programme started with unfold the theme by the Speaker’s.

Dr.Reshma Nair, MD (Psychiatry), explained the  Psychosocial first aid for children affected by Covid-19 .She  presented psychiatric first aid for childhood disorders And Its Management ,especially she has given simple tips of Psychosocial first aid for children affected by covid-19 pandemic.

Total 100 students were attended the webinar seminar .

DAY:2(15/05/2021)

Dr.Srinivasan.N, Psychiatry social Worker,  he focused on  Counseling approach

and basic methods of psychotherapy in  Covid-19  and  he has given reports, incidence & causes of the Covid-19 stress in hospital.

Dr.Srinivasan explained the methods of counseling, techniques of counseling and basic management of covid stress ,anxiety and depression. 

Total 100 students were attended the webinar seminar

DAY:3 (17/05/2021)

Dr.Bharthi, MD (Psychiatry) , has explained about the Covid-19 Psychological management for elderly  people. She said that, in this pandemic elderly people are having the problem of fear of death and depression.

She has given guidelines of Psychological management for elderly  people and various approaching techniques of old age people.

In this occasion Asst. Lectures Mrs.Priya and Mrs.Nisha ,they made good group discussion with our students and also they given knowledge regarding counseling approach and  management of COVID-19 environment.

Total 100 students were attended the webinar seminar .
