Report on the Lamp Lighting and Oath-Taking Ceremony
Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College successfully organized its Lamp Lighting and Oath-Taking Ceremony on 17-10-2025 for new batch B.Sc. Nursing, GNM & ANM Students, marking the commencement of their noble journey with dedication and compassion.
The ceremony was graced by Col. Beena Vijay Kumar, Principal and Matron of Military Hospital, Meerut, as the Guest of Honour; Dr. Pramod Kumar Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, as the Chief Guest; and Col. Rajeshwari from Military Hospital, Meerut, as the Special Guest.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Geeta Parwanda, Principal and Dean of Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College. The traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony followed, wherein Col. Beena Vijay Kumar lit the ceremonial lamp and passed the light to the faculty members, symbolizing the transfer of knowledge and commitment to service. The faculty, in turn, passed the light to the new budding nursing students. Subsequently, the students took the Florence Nightingale Pledge, vowing to serve humanity with care, integrity, and compassion.
During the program, the brochure for the 29th National Conference of the Nurse Researchers Society for Innovation (NRSI) was released by the dignitaries. Themed “Emerging Trends in Nursing Research,” from 13th to 15th November 2025. Both Col. Beena Vijay Kumar and Dr. Pramod Kumar Sharma addressed the gathering, inspiring the students and faculty alike.
The dignitaries also distributed awards to students with the highest attendance and those who excelled at the 31st SNAI Biennial Conference held at SCPM College of Nursing, Gonda. At the entrance of the auditorium, 23 beautifully crafted and informative handmade models were displayed, focusing on World Heart Day and the Physiology of the Human Body. These models, created by our talented students, were evaluated by the esteemed guests. The ceremony concluded with the felicitation of the dignitaries, followed by a Vote of Thanks, marking the successful completion of a memorable and inspiring event. The event was successfully organized by Professor Manu, Professor Sriram, and Assistant Professor Madhuri under the guidance of Dr. Geeta Parwanda, Principal and Dean of Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College.
