Dr. Seema Sharma Delivers Inspiring Address at AMBU–2026 Special Session
Under the aegis of Antarrashtriya Matrubhasha Utsav 2026 (AMBU–2026), Bharti Bhasha Samvardhan Sansthan successfully organized a web seminar on the theme “Sanskar ki Bhasha Banam Sansar ki Bhasha” on February 13, 2026. The highlight of the session was the distinguished address delivered by Dr. Seema Sharma, Head of the Department of Languages, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, whose insightful and thought-provoking presentation added significant depth to the program.
In her address, Dr. Sharma explained that the “Sanskar ki Bhasha” is deeply rooted in cultural heritage, family traditions, and social consciousness, whereas the “Sansar ki Bhasha” serves as a medium for global communication, modernity, and professional opportunities. She emphasized that the younger generation must acquire global language skills while remaining connected to their mother tongue and cultural foundations.
Referring to examples from Girmitiya countries and the Indian diaspora, she highlighted that a mother tongue is not merely a tool of communication but a foundation of identity, tradition, and cultural continuity. According to her, language plays a crucial role in preserving values and fostering cultural renaissance.
Scholars and participants from India and abroad highly appreciated Dr. Sharma’s perspectives, describing them as relevant and inspiring. The session was broadcast live on social media platforms, ensuring wide participation.
The seminar emerged as a meaningful academic forum for reflecting on the importance of mother languages, cultural consciousness, and the role of Indian languages in a global context, with Dr. Seema Sharma’s address serving as a guiding and motivational highlight of the event.
