EVENT SCHEDULE

Time: 2:00-4:00 p.m. (*Saturday-10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.)

Day 1: (5th February 2026) 

  1. Dramatic Monologue / Role Play (English)-

Rules & Instructions:

  • Participants may perform a dramatic monologue or role play drawn from English plays /drama,  or adaptations of English films, or present an original performance.
  • Participation may be solo or group (maximum 5 participants).
  • Performances must be strictly in English.
  • Time limit: 3–5 minutes.
  • Content may be based on literary characters, historical figures, or original scripts.
  • Use of minimal props is allowed.
  • Obscene language, political content, or offensive material is strictly prohibited.
  • Judgment will be based on expression, language proficiency, creativity, and stage performance.

Day 2: (6th February 2026)

  1. Paper Presentation (Seminar in English)

Theme: Contribution of Indian English Writers

Rules & Instructions:

  • Participation is individual.
  • Paper should focus on any Indian English writer or movement.
  • Time limit: 3-5 minutes
  • PPT / manuscript (optional)
  • Plagiarism must be avoided.
  • Judgment criteria: content relevance, clarity, originality, and presentation skills.

Day 3: (7th February 2026)

  1. Quiz (English)

Topic: Indian English Writers and Their Writings

Rules & Instructions:

  • Participation may be individual.
  • Quiz will include Written MCQs –Ist Round, visual rounds- II Round, and rapid-fire rounds- III Round
  • No use of mobile phones or reference materials.
  • Decision of the quiz master will be final and binding.
  • Winners will be decided on the basis of accuracy and speed.

Day 4: (9th February 2026)

  1. Debate (English)

Topic: “Does God Exist?”

Rules & Instructions:

  • Participation is individual.
  • 2 Speakers will give their names: one FOR the motion and one AGAI NST the motion.
  • Time limit: 2-3 minutes per speaker.
  • Medium of expression: English only.
  • Respectful language and academic decorum must be maintained.
  • Judgment will be based on argument strength, logic, fluency, and original content.

Day 5: (10th February 2026)

  1. Poetry Recitation (English)

Theme: “Generational Echoes”

Rules & Instructions:

  • Participation is individual.
  • Poems may be self-composed or published (English only).
  • Time limit: 2–3 minutes.
  • Proper acknowledgment is required for non-original poems.
  • Judgment will be based on voice modulation, expression, thematic relevance, and clarity.

Day 6: (11th February 2026)

  1. Sing a Song (English)

Rules & Instructions:

  • Participation may be solo or group.
  • Song must be in English.
  • Time limit: 3-5 minutes.
  • Karaoke is allowed; live instruments are permitted.
  • Lyrics should be appropriate and non-offensive.
  • Judgment criteria: voice quality, pronunciation, rhythm, and overall performance.

General Instructions

  • Participants may take part in more than one event.
  • Registration is mandatory.
  • Certificates will be awarded to all the participants and winners.
