Faculty Development Programme on “Medical Records”
Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Medical Records” was organized on 08 July 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Conference Hall, MASCHNYS. The programme was conducted by Dr. Anilka Sachdeva, Demonstrator, MASCHNYS, under the coordination of Dr. Annu, Assistant Professor, MASCHNYS. The session was attended by faculty members with the objective of strengthening their understanding of quality documentation practices and their role in ensuring excellence in healthcare services.
During the session, the resource person emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate, complete, and timely medical records as an essential component of quality patient care. The presentation highlighted the principles of proper documentation, legal and ethical aspects of medical records, patient confidentiality, record retention policies, and the significance of medical records in clinical audits, research, patient safety, and NABH accreditation. Practical examples were discussed to help participants understand common documentation errors and methods to improve the quality and completeness of medical records.
The programme was highly interactive, with all 10 participants actively engaging in discussions and raising queries related to documentation standards and NABH requirements. The resource person addressed the participants’ concerns and shared best practices for maintaining standardized medical records in routine clinical practice. The interactive nature of the session encouraged knowledge sharing and reinforced the importance of teamwork in maintaining quality documentation.
The Faculty Development Programme successfully achieved its objectives by enhancing participants’ awareness of medical record management and its critical role in quality healthcare delivery. The session strengthened the faculty’s understanding of documentation standards, legal responsibilities, confidentiality, and NABH compliance. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the coordinator, who expressed gratitude to the resource person and all participants for their active involvement and encouraged the adoption of best documentation practices in day-to-day professional activities.
