Fire Safety Training Programme Successfully Conducted at MASCHNYS, SVSU
Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized a Fire Safety Training Programme on 21st July 2026, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Smriti Goswami, Assistant Professor, MASCHNYS.
The objective of the programme was to create awareness among faculty members, students, and staff regarding fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and the safe and effective use of fire extinguishers. The training aimed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to respond confidently during fire-related emergencies while fostering a culture of safety within the institution.
The training session was conducted by Mr. Sanjay, Fireman (Supervisor), who delivered an informative presentation on the fundamentals of fire safety, common causes of fire accidents, preventive measures, and appropriate emergency response procedures. He also highlighted the importance of regular maintenance of fire safety equipment and strict adherence to established safety protocols.
A live demonstration on the proper use of a fire extinguisher was conducted, providing participants with hands-on exposure to the correct operating procedure. The demonstration effectively explained the PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep), enabling participants to understand how to safely control small fire incidents during emergencies.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 40 faculty members, students, and staff, making the session highly informative and beneficial. Participants actively engaged in the demonstration and the interactive question-and-answer session that followed.
