FRESHER’S PARTY 2022
Every student anticipates the “Fresher’s Party,” the most notable event of the college, with bated breath from the moment they are admitted. The 15th of December 2022 was a memorable day in the life of every fresher of academic year 2022-2023 at Keral Verma Subharti College of Science of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University which was organized at GTB Hall.
Under the tradition of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, the program started at 10:00 AM with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and worship of Goddess Saraswati by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Major General Prof. (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Abhay M. Shankargowda, Registrar Mr. D.K. Saxena, Additional registrar Mr. Chetan Vishal & deans of other colleges. After that, planters were presented to all the dignitaries.
Hon’ble VC sir encouraged all the students with many positive words and gave a noble message to all the students “Arise, awake and don’t stop till the goal is achieved”. Sir has also emphasized on the motto of the University i.e. “Education, Service, Sanskar and Nationality” and conveyed his best wishes to all the freshers for their upcoming future. Hon’ble CEO Madam, Prof. Shalya Raj also sent a message to extend her blessings to the new students and organizing team. Prof. Mahavir Singh also guided and motivated the students with his inspiring words.
Soon after the blessings part, our anchors Divyanshu, Khushboo, Kartikay and Ekansh took over the stage and kept the crowd entertained till the very end in their funny way of attracting the audience towards them and adding cherry to the pie.
The dress code for the party was Red and Black. The contest for Mr. and Ms. Fresher concluded in four rounds i.e. Introduction round, talent round, chit game and questionnaire round. Senior students also arranged many activities in between for freshers where everyone got a chance to showcase their talent.
Refreshments were offered in between the program. The entire family of Science College relished the exotic lunch followed by felicitation of the winning students. Trophies and gifts were given by Prof. Mahavir Singh (Dean, College of Science) and jury members to all the winners and runner-ups of the event. Netrika Singh from B.Sc. Biotechnology and Robin Chaudhary from M.Sc. Chemists were crowned as Ms. Fresher and Mr. Fresher of the year. Nirbhay Pundir from B.Sc. Biotechnology and Navya Kaushik from M.Sc. Botany got the runner up title. Tanishka from B.Sc. Microbiology got the title of the most elegant personality.
The program was conducted with the support of Prof. Mahavir Singh (Dean, College of Science) and coordinated by Dr. Anju Rani and her cultural team Dr. Ekta Gupta, Dr. Shashi Bala, Dr. Nisha Malik, Dr. Neeru Singh, Dr. Reenu Saini and Mr. Vikas Belwal.
Discipline committee and other teaching and non-teaching staff was also present for support and maintaining discipline.
The event ended at 4:00 PM with the DJ music where all the students danced to the beats removing all the stress and enjoying pure bliss. The overall intention of Fresher’s party was to welcome the freshers and encourage their creative instincts to boost their confidence and unity. The celebration was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness.
