Raja Kunwar Singh Subharti Department of Library and Information Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut organized Fresher Party 2025 with the primary objective of welcoming newly enrolled students and facilitating their integration into the academic environment while fostering leadership qualities, interpersonal coordination, and self-confidence. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sudhir Tyagi, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Head, Department of Library and Information Science. He said that the fresher party serves as a potent mechanism for cultivating essential skills and highlighted the crucial role of the emerging generation in digital innovation and knowledge conservation within library science. The programme featured diverse cultural performances by senior students, including dance, music, and poetry recitations, along with entertaining competitions such as “Mr. Fresher” and “Miss. Fresher,” in which all newcomers participated enthusiastically. Dr. Sapna Sharma delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all faculty members, students, and the organizing committee. The event achieved considerable success in facilitating student integration, strengthening interpersonal bonds, fostering team spirit, and providing opportunities for students to showcase their talents while boosting their confidence. The collaborative efforts of the entire departmental faculty, including Dr. Sudhir Tyagi, Dr. Sapna Sharma, Dr. Alpana, Ms. Bhavana Joshi, Mr. Rajendra, and Ms. Swati, demonstrated institutional commitment to student welfare and holistic development.
