International Men’s and Boys’ Day Celebrated at Subharti University
The University Gender Sensitization in association with the Faculty of Engineering, celebrated International Men’s Day (theme-2025 is Celebrating Men & Boys) on 19th November 2025 at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut in Engineering college. The occasion was marked by a guest lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Abhay.M.Shakaregowda, Dean of the Faculty of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences and Director AYUSH SVSU, who emphasized the importance of men’s health, emotional well-being, and balance in family and professional life.
A unique “Non-Fire Cooking Competition” was also organized, where male faculty members from all colleges of the university enthusiastically participated, showcasing creativity and teamwork in preparing a variety of innovative dishes without using fire. The event created a joyful and inclusive atmosphere for all present.
The program witnessed the graceful presence of Dr. Manoj Kapil, Dean, Faculty of Engineering; Dr. Sarika, Incharge of the Gender Sensitization Cell; Dr. Sweta Bhardwaj, Nodal Officer, Faculty of Engineering and Technology; all Gender Champions, and nodal officers of various colleges. The competition was judged by Dr. Indraneel Bose and Dr. Jyoti Gaur, who declared the results fairly.
In the Faculty Category, the first position was secured by Dr. Abhay and team from the College of Naturopathy, second by Dr. Akash Kumar from Allied and Health Sciences, and third by Dr. Lucky from the College of Fine Arts.
In the Student Category, the first prize went to Kush and team from Naturopathy College, second to Aman and team from the School of Hotel Management, and third to Ambrish and team from Polytechnic College.
A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by Gender Champion Vivek from FET College. The program was skillfully conducted by Aishwarya, Gender Champion from the Faculty of Engineering. The celebration concluded with great enthusiasm and appreciation for the creativity and positive spirit displayed throughout the day.
