Department of Animation, Subharti University Organizes Guest Lecture on Animation Character Design
The Department of Animation, Faculty of Fine Arts, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), successfully organized a Guest Lecture on “Animation Character Design Fundamentals: Psychology, Aesthetics & Visual Storytelling” on December 13, 2025, at the Satyajit Ray Auditorium, Faculty of Fine Arts, SVSU.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, which was performed by the Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, Dr. Ananda Karmakar, Dr. Bhawna Grover, Dr. Vidhi Khandelwal, and Dr. Neha Singh.
The session was delivered by Dr. Ananda Karmakar, Head, Department of Animation, Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, a renowned academician and expert in animation education. Dr. Karmakar shared valuable insights into the psychological foundations of character design, aesthetic principles, and effective visual storytelling techniques used in contemporary animation practices.
The event was convened by Dr. Vidhi Khandelwal, Head, Department of Animation, Faculty of Fine Arts, SVSU, under whose guidance the lecture was successfully organized. The programme was anchored by Mr. Akash, a student of B.Sc. Animation, who conducted the session with confidence and clarity. The event received valuable support from the Animation faculty members, Ms. Tamanna and Mr. Lakshay Khanna, ensuring its smooth and successful execution.
