An IPR Awareness Session titled “IPR for Innovation: Empowering Ideas Through Protection” was successfully organized by the IPR Cell (Research and Development Cell), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, in collaboration with AKASH IP Associates, Noida, under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
The session was held on Saturday, 13th December 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in the Conference Hall, Research & Development Cell. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, researchers, and students, reflecting keen interest in the domain of Intellectual Property Rights.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Nisha Rana, In-charge IPR Cell who welcomed Prof. Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya, Dean (R&D Cell) and the resource person Ms. Monika, Director, and Mr. Ajay, Co-founder, AKASH IP Associates, faculty members, researchers, participants. Dr. Aruna Bansal, Convener, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), honored the keynote speaker, Ms. Monika, Director, AKASH IP Associates, with an Angvastra and a planter as a symbol of gratitude for her esteemed presence. Dr. Rana emphasized that innovation in today’s research ecosystem gains true value only when it is effectively recognized, protected, and strategically managed through IPR. The aim of the session was to spread awareness among them about the basics of Intellectual Property Rights and sensitize them towards protection for innovative ideas and research outcomes.
The inaugural address was given by Dean Research and Development Prof. Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya. In this connection, Prof. Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya, Dean, elaborates the pivotal role of Intellectual Property Rights in strengthening the University’s research and innovation ecosystem. He pointed out that protection of intellectual assets is key to translating research ideas into impactful outcomes and called for active engagement with the IPR mechanisms by the faculty members, researchers, and students. The Dean also appreciated the efforts of the IPR Cell and R&D Cell in organizing such awareness programmes and the urge to conduct regular capacity building initiatives for innovation, patents, and entrepreneurship within the institution as well.
