Guest Lecture on Gender Sensitization and Equality
Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare, SVSU in collaboration with the University Gender Sensitization Cell, successfully organized a guest lecture entitled “Understanding Gender: Myths vs. Reality” on Saturday, 13th December 2025. The purpose of the event was to increase students’ knowledge about gender equality and gender sensitivity. It provided an interesting forum to dispel widespread myths about gender roles and advance a more welcoming and civil learning environment. Insightful viewpoints on dispelling preconceptions, comprehending gender dynamics, and advancing equal rights were shared by distinguished speaker Dr. Devendra Kumar , Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. Dr. Pankaj Kishor Mishra the Principal of Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare addressed the value of this sensitization program in developing responsibilities in healthcare professionals who may help create a more just society in her welcome speech. Students excitedly participated in an interactive Q&A session at the program’s conclusion, which demonstrated the importance of gender sensitisation in the modern world. These occasions highlight the university’s continuous attempts to include gender awareness into professional and academic training, opening the door to a more equitable and welcoming campus community.
