Guest Lecture on Journal Finding and Publication Ethics
The Department of Paramedical Sciences successfully organized a guest lecture on the topic “Training Young Faculty members to find appropriate Journals for Quality Research Publications”on 04.07.2025. The session aimed to equip young academicians and researchers with essential skills to identify suitable journals for disseminating their work effectively.
The guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Anirudh Srivastava, Associate Professor and In-charge of the Publication Cell at the Research and Development Cell, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, who is a renowned academician and researcher. In his engaging presentation, the speaker highlighted the importance of selecting credible and high-impact journals for publishing research. He guided the participants on understanding journal metrics, impact factors, indexing databases (like Scopus and Web of Science), and avoiding predatory journals.
The lecture also provided practical tips on evaluating the scope of journals, aligning research with journal aims, and using tools such as journal finder platforms. Participants interacted actively during the Q&A session, seeking advice on challenges they face in publishing their work.
Prof. (Dr.) Punkaj Kishor Mishra, Head of the Department address, emphasized that such initiatives are vital for fostering a culture of quality research and international publications among faculty members. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Punkaj Kishor Mishra, appreciating the resource person and all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
The event was coordinated by Mrs. Hiba, Assistant Professor and Mrs.Khushi Kansal, Assistant Professor and attended by faculty members Dr. Umesh Kumar, Dr. Anshu Kumar Singh, Dr. Meenakshi Mishra, Mr.Akash Kumar, Mr. Rahul, Mrs. ZebaNaj, Mr.Pushpendra Kumar Rajput, Ms.Shmriti, Mr.Ankit Kumar, Mr.Viswanath Pratap Singh, Mr.Navdeep Singh, Muhammad Zubair and Mr.Vishant Pal and Students from various stream of the Department, marking it a successful step towards enhancing research publication standards at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University.
