A Guest lecture on the theme Research Projects Sponsored by Government and Non-Government Agencies” was organized by the Department of Languages, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University on Wednesday, 11th June 2025, starting at 12:00 PM in the Department of Languages, FASS, SVSU. The programme aimed to enhance awareness and understanding among faculty members, research scholars, and postgraduate students about the procedures, guidelines, and opportunities related to research projects funded by various government and non-government agencies.

The session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Sudha Rani Singh, Professor & Head, Department of Hindi, S.M.P. (PG) College, CCS University, Meerut, who served as the Resource Person. At the outset, Dr. Seema Sharma, Head, Department of Languages, warmly welcomed Prof. Singh and all participants. She highlighted the significance of research in academic advancement and motivated everyone to actively engage in seeking research funding.

The programme saw active participation from faculty members including Dr. Seema Sharma, Prof. Rajeswar Pal, Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Dr. Rafat Khanam, Dr. Ranveer Singh, Dr. Anju Bawara, Dr. Nishi Raghav, Dr. Preeti, Ms. Saniya, Mr. Abhijeet, Mr. Ankit along with numerous students and research scholars.

Prof. Sudha provided an insightful presentation on various government and non-government research funding agencies, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and best practices for successful proposal writing. She also addressed common challenges faced by researchers and shared valuable tips to overcome them.

The session was highly informative and interactive, which enabled the participants to clarify their doubts and gain practical knowledge on pursuing funded research projects. The programme successfully raised awareness and equipped the academic community with essential tools and information to enhance their research capabilities.

In conclusion, the Sensitization Programme was a significant step towards encouraging a research-oriented culture within the Department of Languages and the wider academic fraternity at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University.
