HPV Vaccination Awareness Session on Cervical Cancer Prevention

Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College organized an informative HPV Vaccination Awareness Session on the topic “Preventing Cervical Cancer: The Role of HPV Vaccination” in LT-01, PDMSNC. The session aimed to enhance awareness among nursing students regarding cervical cancer prevention, HPV infection, vaccination, and the importance of early preventive measures.

The session was graced by Dr. Smriti Gupta, HOD, Department of Gynaecology, SVU, who served as the expert speaker. She provided an insightful session on the causes and risk factors of cervical cancer, the role of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in cervical cancer development, the importance of HPV vaccination, and preventive strategies for maintaining women’s reproductive health.

Around 50 female students from GNM 1st Year and B.Sc. Nursing 5th Semester actively participated in the session. The interactive discussion provided students with an opportunity to clarify their queries and gain evidence-based knowledge that they can further disseminate within the community.

The session was highly informative and served as an important step towards creating awareness among future healthcare professionals about HPV vaccination and the prevention of cervical cancer. The college extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Smriti Gupta for her valuable insights and to all the students and faculty members for their active participation and support.
