DEBATE COMPETITION ORGANIZED UNDER AKHAND BHARAT SWATANTRATA DIWAS MAHAPARV – 2026
Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), Meerut organized Debate Competition under Akhand Bharat Swatantrata Diwas Mahaparv-2026 on 19th September 2026.
The purpose of the programme was to develop students’ critical thinking, logical reasoning, communication skills, confidence and leadership in them. It was a space for students to express their opinions, provide logical arguments and participate in thoughtful conversations with respect to other opinions.
The event was judged by Dr. Ashok Tyagi, Editor, Prabhat Newspaper and Professor, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, SVSU Meerut and Dr. Manoj Kumar Tripathi, Associate Professor, Department of Art and Social Sciences, SVSU Meerut.
Students enthusiastically took part in the event, delivering their arguments on the propositions they were assigned and counter-arguments. Participants responded with relevant facts, examples and logical arguments and they were disciplined and communicated with respect.
The judges were impressed by participants’ confidence, thinking logically, clarity of presentation and effective expression. They were aware of the need to follow an evidence-based argument, and to have a constructive conversation.
On the occasion, Dr. Pintu Mishra, Dean, Fine Arts & Faculty of Education congratulated the students, urging them to be active in academic and co-curricular activities for their overall growth. Dr. Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education, appreciated the enthusiasm and active participation of the students.
Dr. Rubi, Assistant Professor, organiser of this event proposed official Vote of Thanks to the external judges, Dean, Head, university’s officials, faculty members and students for contributing to the success of the programme.
The programme ended on a positive note and offered the students the experience of speaking in public, thinking critically, leadership and effective communication skills.
