“Dharohar Club’s Inter-University Event:
Honoring Innovation, Earth, and Culture”

The Students Club, Dharohar Club of Keral Verma Subharti College of Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a Competition on 21st April 2025 to celebrate three significant international observances: World Heritage Day, World Creativity & Innovation Day and World Earth Day. The event, held at the Conference Hall, KVSCOS, aimed to instill a spirit of heritage appreciation, innovative thinking, and environmental consciousness among university students. It was a vibrant gathering that brought together creative minds and energetic participants from various departments, providing them a platform to express their thoughts, talents, and sense of responsibility toward global concerns.

The competition was systematically divided into three major segments: Debate Competition, Theory Presentation (PPT Competition), and Poster Presentation, each thoughtfully aligned with the corresponding global themes. The Debate Competition centered around the engaging and contemporary topic “Is Artificial Intelligence a Threat to Human Creativity?”  Parallelly, the Theory Presentation (PPT Competition) invited both individual and group presentations. The theme for the presentation was “Innovation and Creativity.”

The Poster Presentation segment focused on the theme “Earth Day and Sustainability,” emphasizing environmental awareness and creativity. Participation was strictly individual, allowing each participant the space to fully express their ideas. Posters could be either handmade or digitally designed, within the accepted sizes of A3 or A2.

The judges namely Dr. Adesh Kumar (Assistant Professor, Botany), Ms. Esther Lalringzo (Assistant Professor, Forensic Science) judged the events on the different criteria based on the involving factors and the scientific techniques and methodologies used. In total, 63 participants (Students and Faculty members) participated in this competition. Medals were awarded to the winners in each category.

The event concluded on a successful note, fulfilling its objective of promoting cultural heritage appreciation, nurturing innovation and creativity, and fostering a deep sense of environmental stewardship among young scholars. The organizing team of the Dharohar Club expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, volunteers, faculty coordinators, and university authorities for their active involvement and support, which played a vital role in making the event a grand success.

This competition was coordinated by Ms. Manvi Chaudhary & Ms. Pragati Jain (Students’ Club Facilitator) and Dharohar Club President Abhinav Teotia.
