International Conference on Zakat–2026 at AMU

Dr. Sartaj Ahmad, Professor and Dean Students’ Welfare, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, participated in the Two-Day International Conference on Zakat–2026 held on 14th and 15th February 2026 at the Conference Hall of Teachers’ Association, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
The conference was organized with the objective of creating awareness and deeper understanding of Zakat as a well-structured and impactful socio -economic system. It aimed to promote meaningful dialogue among Ulema, academicians, students, professionals, community members, scholars, and experts from India and abroad.
During the conference, distinguished speakers and participants shared their valuable insights on various significant themes, including:
Understanding Zakat in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah, Current challenges in Zakat management, 
Learning from global Zakat practices, 
Utilizing Zakat for education, economic growth and community development, Adoption of new-age Zakat management through technology and transparency
The conference served as an important platform for intellectual exchange and collaborative thinking on strengthening Zakat institutions to address contemporary socio-economic challenges effectively.
