Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare Organized International Conference
Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare (SCAH), Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS) organized two days International Conference on 21st and 22nd January 2026 on “Recent Trends in Medical Diagnostic Technology (RTMDT-2026)”. 1st Day of the conference is started with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest Dr. Rajeev Prasad (President Asia Pacific Council of Optometry), Dr.Cathy Stern (Behavioral Neuroand Optometrist, Boston, USA), Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor SVSU, Maj Gen Dr. G.K. Thapliyal, Director, MTVBRC Trust, SVSU, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, CEO, Subharti University, Prof. (Dr.) Jasmine Anandabai, Dean FAHS, Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kishor Mishra, Principal SCAH, Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Kumar, Head Medical Laboratory Sciences, Dr.Anshu Kumar Singh, Associate Professor, Dr. Meenakshi Mishra, Associate Professor and Dr. Ravindra Kumar Manik, Head Optometry.
The conference began with a welcome address by the organizing secretary, Dr. Anshu Kumar Singh, followed by a welcome speech from the Principal of Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare, Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kishor Mishra, who greeted all the guests come from across the globe. Major General Prof. Dr. G. K. Thapliyal highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in the field of modern diagnostics. Chief Guest, Dr. Rajiv Prasad, addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of international conferences. Prof. Dr. Shalya Raj discussed with all the participants about the importance and impact of accurate diagnosis in the field of diagnostics and also highlighted the role of allied and healthcare professionals in the medical field. Prof. Dr. Pramod Kumar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of Subharti University, encouraged all the participants to contribute to the field of modern diagnostics through innovation. A digital souvenir was released during the conference, followed by a vote-of-thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Kumar, Head, MLS. The program was efficiently hosted by Mrs. Hiba Khan and Mrs. Khushi Kansal.
On the first day of the conference, Dr. Cathy Stein, Neuro-Optometrist, Boston, USA, Dr. Rajiv Prasad, President-Elect, World Optometry Council, Prof. Sudeep Dutta, Department of Medical Laboratory Medicine, AIIMS New Delhi, Mr. Gagan Sahni, Director, Silver Line Laboratories, New Delhi, Mr. Manoj Pahiju, Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and Dr. Kavita Thakur, Yale University, USA, delivered guest lectures, informing the participants about various innovations in the field of diagnostics. Following the guest lecture, a cultural program was organized in which students captivated the audience with their performances. The renowned Urdu poet, Mohammad Ali Taj, also participated in this cultural program and charmed the audience with his poetry. The cultural program was hostd by Ms. Urvashi Tyagi and Mr. Sanyam Thakur. All the faculty members of Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare were present during this conference.
On the second day of the international conference being held at Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare, extensive discussions were conducted on various innovative topics related to medical laboratory technology, radiology, operation theater technology, and optometry. On the second day of the conference, Dr. Naveen Kumar Vishven, Purdue Institute of Inflamation, Immunology and Infectious Disease, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA, Prof. (Dr.) Yogendra Kumar, Department of Radiodiagnosis, Gautam Buddh Medical College, Dehradun, Prof. Yogesh Kumar Manik, Department of Anaesthesia, LLRM Medical College, Meerut and Dr. Siddhant Saraswat, Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Noida, delivered the detailed expert talk on the innovations taking place in the field of diagnostics, through which the participants became acquainted with the latest advancements in diagnostics.
For Optometry participants of the workshops were organized, including one by Mr. Gagan Sahni, Director, Silver Line Medicals, who explained the process of manufacturing contact lenses. Additionally, Dr. Cathy Stern and Dr. Rajeev Prasad conducted a hands-on workshop on low vision.
In the valedictory ceremony of the program, Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Kamal Pant, Chairperson, Uttar Pradesh State Allied and Healthcare, participated as the Chief Guest and informed the participants about various aspects of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP). The program was attended by Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Swaroop, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University and distinguished guest Dr.D.C. Saxena, Director, IKS, SVSU.
At the conclusion of the program, the Organizing Secretary, Dr. Meenakshi Mishra, delivered the vote-of-thanks and assured that in the near future, Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare will continue to organize more such conferences.
