International Human Rights Day-2025

On the occasion of International Human Rights Day 2025, Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law conducted an outreach and sensitization programme for the young students of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar School, associated with Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut.

The initiative aimed to foster early awareness about fundamental Human Rights and to instill core values of dignity, equality, and respect among school-going children. The session featured an interactive and insightful talk delivered by Honorable Justice Rajesh Chandra, Former-High Court of Judicature at Allahabad & Director and Respected Officiating Dean Prof. (Dr.) Reena Bishnoi, who explained the significance of Human Rights in a simple, engaging, and relatable manner. Through real-life examples, storytelling. Other faculty members also actively engaged with the students, emphasizing the importance of Human Rights in everyday life and encouraging young minds to uphold these values from an early age.

As part of the outreach gesture, faculty and college students, Akshdeep Kaur and Srishti Sirohi  from 3rdyr B.A.LL.B, Ayushi Sharma from 1styr B.A.LL.B  and Priyanshi from 2ndYr B.A.LL.B also distributed notebooks and biscuits to all the children of the school, making the programme both educational and joyful for the young learners.

Following the session, the faculty, along with the students of Subharti Law College, carried out a Human Rights Awareness Walk within the university premises, holding banners and spreading messages about the universal importance of Human Rights. This activity encouraged students to participate actively in promoting awareness and to feel confident in expressing the values they had learned.

The event was organized Mr. Anurag Choudhary, Assistant Professor and Mr. Ashutosh Deshwal, Lecturer Subharti Law College. The organizers extend heartfelt gratitude to the faculty coordinators, school administration, and enthusiastic student volunteers whose collective efforts made the event meaningful and impactful. The programme reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing conscious, empathetic, and responsible future citizens.
