Dr. VidhiKhandelwal,HOD-Animation ,Faculty of Fine Arts, Swami VivekanandSubharti University, recently graced the International Video Art Competition in HSE Art & Design School Moscow, Russia as both a jury member and guest lecturer. The prestigious event, held from August 10 to August 20, unfolded on the Creative. Academy platform of the Institute for the Development of Creative Industries at the National Research University.
Dr. Khandelwal’s involvement highlighted her significant role in shaping the future of creative expression. As part of the competition, she provided invaluable insights through a master class designed to guide the finalists in crafting compelling short films. Her session focused on the nuances of individual film shooting, offering practical advice and inspiration to the budding filmmakers.
Throughout the event, ten talented finalists from around the world converged in Moscow to pitch their film scripts, each inspired by Russia’s vibrant capital. These pitches were evaluated by a panel of esteemed jurors, including Dr. Khandelwal. Her expertise was instrumental in selecting the competition’s winner, who will have the unique opportunity to create a film about Moscow based on their winning script.
The WOWMOSCOW 2024 event was not only a celebration of emerging video art but also an educational platform that connected international talent with industry leaders. The finalists’ works were showcased on the media platforms of the Moscow Territory 2030 project, underscoring the city’s commitment to fostering global artistic talent.
Vice-Chancellor Major General (Dr.) G.K. Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, emphasized the importance of such International engagements and congratulated her for her achievements.
