Lecture on Women Empowerment Organized at Faculty of Education
Meerut, 3 September 2026: A meaningful and informative lecture on “Women Empowerment” was organized at the Seminar Hall, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, on 3 September 2026 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of women empowerment, gender equality, education, safety, rights, and equal opportunities in society.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Manju Adhikari, Head, Department of Physical Education and Secretary, Women Empowerment Committee. During the session, she elaborated on the various dimensions of women empowerment and emphasized the important role of education and awareness in enabling women to become confident, independent, and active participants in social and professional life.
Dr. Manju Adhikari discussed the significance of equal opportunities, self-confidence, decision-making, financial independence, personal safety, and awareness of rights. She also encouraged students to develop a positive and respectful attitude towards gender equality and to contribute towards creating an inclusive and supportive environment for women.
The session also highlighted the need to empower women not only at the individual level but also within educational institutions, workplaces, families, and society. Students were encouraged to understand their responsibilities and actively contribute to promoting dignity, equality, respect, and safety for all.
