A Live session talk on “From your Ph.D./ Masters Thesis to a start-up” by Dr.
Anand Deshpande and it was broadcasted at MHRD’S Innovation Council( MIC) through online live session on 23rd April 2021 by Institute Innovation Council (IIC) at Subharti Institute of Technology and Engineering, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut.
In the talk, Dr Anand Deshpande said that there are prejudice regarding phd that researchers can not be entrepreneurs.He stressed on the fact that researchers are actually better equipped to become entrepreneurs as they are focussed, persistent in their efforts and know how to create jobs.It was discussed how customer development to business model canvas development etc are all part of the process in a Phd to start entrepreneurship. Further into the talk the concept of Minimum viable product was also discussed.
The event was a success and more than 150 students and faculty member participated in the session.
