Nari Shakti Rally under Nari Shakti Vandan Campaign

The Women Empowerment Committee of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), Meerut successfully organized a Nari Shakti Rally on the inaugural day of the Nari Shakti Vandan Campaign (April 16–20, 2026), marking a strong and impactful beginning to the awareness initiative.

The rally was conducted from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Faculty of Education with active and energetic participation from NSS/NCC volunteers, students, and faculty members. The entire event was efficiently organized under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Manju Adhikari, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Secretary of the Women Empowerment Committee. The rally witnessed the active presence and participation of Dr. Nisha, Dr. Neha Singh, Dr. Rakhi Jha, Dr.Rafat Khanam, Dr. Sarika, Ms. Deepika Choudhary, and Ms. Deepanshu Choudhary, along with members from the Management, Fine Arts, Faculty of Education, Liberal Arts, and non-teaching staff. Their collective efforts and participation ensured the smooth, disciplined, and successful execution of the rally.

The main objectives of the rally were to promote women empowerment, spread awareness about gender equality, highlight women’s rights, and encourage a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for women in society. It also aimed to motivate young minds to actively contribute toward building a society free from discrimination and inequality.

Participants carried creatively designed banners and placards displaying powerful and inspiring messages. They raised energetic slogans emphasizing dignity, safety, equal opportunities, and respect for women. The rally moved across various parts of the university campus, effectively capturing attention and delivering a strong social message to the campus community.

During the rally, participants also spread awareness about Women Helpline Numbers (1090 and 181) provided by the Government of India, informing women about available support systems and encouraging them to seek help whenever needed.

The event was conducted in a well-organized and disciplined manner, reflecting excellent coordination among the organizers and participants. The enthusiasm, unity, and active involvement of students, volunteers, and faculty members added great value to the success of the rally.

The initiative was widely appreciated for its meaningful purpose and impactful execution. It successfully created awareness and inspired a positive mindset among participants, reinforcing the importance of empowering women and promoting equality in all aspects of life.

At the end of the event, Dr. Manju Adhikari expressed her sincere gratitude to CEO Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj and Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma for their continuous support and encouragement in successfully organizing the rally.
