NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAN -2025
The Department of Education, Faculty of Education,Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a “PLEDGE” activity on 28 Nov 2025 in the Courtyard of Department of Education, FoE under NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAN -2025 on the tagline “Nasha Mukt Bharat,Khushal Bharat .”
The event aimed to create awareness regarding drug de-addiction among students with Sustainable Development Goal-3 (Good health and well-being) and Sustainable Development Goal-8( Decent work and economic growth). CEO of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Prof (Dr.) Shalya Raj conveyed her best wishes and said that as a university we have a unique responsibility to create awareness for making drug-free and healthy India. Vice Chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Professor( Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma sent his best wishes for the success of the program.Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, said that it is a collective responsibility to create public awareness among youth and communities about harmful effects of drug. Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh, Head, Department of Education, said it is important to promote a drug -free environment in schools, colleges and communities.
The objectives of the activity was to create awareness about harmful effects of drugs and substance abuse among youth and the general public.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Roopam Jain, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, FoE, SVSU. 82 Students and faculty members of Department of Education, FoE of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University participated in the event. At the closure of the event Students and faculty members generated pledge certificate by clicking on link or by scanning .
