National Seminar on Research Methodology, Scientific Writing, and IPR in Yoga & Naturopathy
A prestigious National Seminar on “Research Methodology, Scientific Writing, and Intellectual Property Rights in Yoga and Naturopathy” was successfully organized on October 6, 2025, at Rani Laxmi Bai Auditorium, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), Meerut. The event was hosted by Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Faculty of AYUSH, SVSU, Meerut, in association with the Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and the Indian Naturopathy and Yoga Graduates Medical Association (INYGMA).
The seminar commenced with a graceful inauguration ceremony with Lamp lighting during which dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Dr. Abhay M. Shankaregowda, Dean, Faculty of AYUSH, with plant saplings and angavastrams, symbolizing reverence, purity, and harmony with nature. All faculty members of MASCHNYS welcomed all guest speakers. The seminar was graced by Dr. Raghavendra Rao, Director, CCRYN, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Rajesh Singh, Executive Director, INYGMA. The program was chaired by the Patrons, Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SVSU, Meerut, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, Chief Executive Officer, SVSU, Meerut, and Prof. (Dr.) Krishnamurthy, Executive Officer. The programme was coordinated under the leadership of Dr. Abhay M. Shankaregowda, Dean, Faculty of AYUSH, and Principal, MASCHNYS.
The event featured renowned speakers from AIIMS, CCRYN, and leading universities, including Prof. (Dr.) Rahul Bansal, Dr. Meenakshi, Dr. Akruti Shukla, Dr. Chandrashekhar A. M., Dr. Sunaina Soni, Dr. Nisha Rana, and Dr. Kanak Soni. They delivered impactful sessions on study design, research planning, grant writing, publication ethics, and IPR. The seminar emphasized the importance of integrating scientific rigor and innovation to enhance evidence-based practices in Yoga and Naturopathy, marking a significant step toward advancing research excellence in the AYUSH sector.
