National Nutrition Week 2022
National Nutrition Week is observed every year from 1st September to 7th September to make people aware of the importance of nutrition for well-being and health. The theme for National Nutrition Week 2022 is “Sabal Nari, Shakshar Baccha, Swastha Bharat”. National Nutrition Week has been celebrated by Shaheed Baba Deep Singh, Department of Home Science, SVSU, Meerut wherein students were sensitized about following a proper diet, eating healthy food, and the need for proper nutrition for expecting mothers and new mothers and their children, the importance of green vegetables and the basics of cooking a nutritious meal through various activities during whole Nutrition Week. The whole celebration was organized under the supervision of Dr. Nishma Singh along with faculties’ i.e. Dr. Shalu Nehra, Dr. Shivangi Yadav, Ms. Neetu Yadav, Ms. Virender Pal Kaur, and Ms. Urvashi Sharma. Certificates were distributed to the participants and winners.

The key activities were:-
- The Nutritional Awareness Board is inculcating knowledge about nutrition, nutrients, and mother and baby health care among students whenever they roam around the board they will learn something.
- Poster Making Activity gives them the opportunity to show their skills on paper wherein they prepared varied kinds of mother and baby posters.

- On another day Nutritional Quiz has been organized to boost the knowledge of students as well as do it in a playful manner. There were four teams, and in each team, there were 4-5 team members.
- Nutrition Talk and Healthy Tiffin Recipes were also incorporated in National Nutrition Week activities where students show their skills in discourse practice and how Tiffin of school-going children can be healthy, nutritious, and appetizing. They flourish variations in Tiffin of school-going children.
- On the day of the conclusion ceremony, a Debate among two groups of students have been organized on the topic of convenience food.
