Industrial Visit to Parag Dairy
On May 6, 2024, a visit to Parag Dairy was conducted by Shaheed Baba Deep Singh, Department of Home Science, SVSU Meerut to gain insights into dairy production processes and quality control measures. The visit commenced with an informative overview of the dairy operations and essential terminology pertinent to the industry. The fruitful result of the visit was made possible only with the cooperation and guidance of Mr. Vaibhav Sharma (FSO), Meerut.
Mr. Amit provided an overview of Dairy Operations under the guidance of Mr. Vinod Kumar (GM), Operation Parag Dairy. They provided a comprehensive introduction to the dairy industry, elucidating key terms essential for understanding the field. The presentation by Mr Sudhir Rathi (in charge of Marketing) highlighted the significance of milk based on fat content and Solid Not Fat (SNF), underscoring the importance of these parameters in milk storage and product formulation.
A significant portion of the visit was dedicated to understanding milk quality assessment methodologies. Under the observation of Mr. Vinod Kumar outlined parameters such as glucose, urea, and protein content as key indicators of milk quality. Visitors were provided insights into urea testing techniques, underscoring the dairy’s dedication to maintaining high-quality standards throughout its production processes.
Ms. Virender Pal Kaur (Assistant Professor) and Ms. Urvashi Sharma(Assistant Professor) planned and led the visit. Students were treated to a delightful and refreshing beverage, setting a pleasant tone for the visit.
