One-Week Faculty Development Program on AICTE IDEA Lab Equipments & Machines: Practical Prototyping at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University
The AICTE IDEA Lab at Subharti Institute of Technology and Engineering, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut (NAAC ‘Grade A’ Accredited), is organizing an offline One-Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) scheduled from 22nd June to 27th June 2026. Aimed at bridging conceptual engineering designs with physical reality, this intensive program is uniquely structured to provide faculty members with comprehensive operational knowledge, slicing toolchain expertise, and workshop safety protocols required to mentor interdisciplinary student innovations and institutional research projects. The curriculum delivers actionable, machine-wise training across core prototyping technologies, including CNC routing, CO₂ laser cutting and engraving, lathe cum milling machinery, PCB milling and basic electronics, 3D printing and scanning, Artificial Intelligence/Data Science, IoT smart systems, Raspberry Pi and Arduino robotics, sewing and smart textiles, and startup development. Through direct hands-on practice, participating faculty will build strong competencies in multi-disciplinary research, rapid product ideation, and functional prototype creation to enhance academic and technical mentoring across engineering streams.
