One-Week Offline Faculty Development Program
The AICTE IDEA Lab at Subharti Institute of Technology and Engineering (SITE), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, successfully conducted a one-week offline Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “AICTE IDEA LAB Equipment and Machines” from June 24 to June 30, 2026. Organized under the guidance of Chief Patrons Mrs. Stuti Narain Kacker, Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, and Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, and led by Patron Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kapil alongside Course Coordinators Dr. Himanshu Agarwal and Er. Ajay Kumar, the intensive program bridged theoretical engineering with physical prototyping. Participants engaged in hands-on training across additive and subtractive manufacturing (3D printing/scanning, CNC routing, CO2 laser cutting), electronics and hardware design (PCB milling, lathe cum milling), embedded smart systems (IoT, Robotics with Raspberry Pi and Arduino), advanced computing (AI/ML, data science), and specialized sessions on IP development and stress management via Pranic Healing. Ultimately, the FDP equipped faculty with the operational mastery needed to mentor interdisciplinary student projects, drive innovation, and foster institutional research and startup ecosystems.
Organizing Committee: Dr. Ankur Gupta, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Dr. Nikhil Rathi, Dr. Aruna Bansal, Dr. Vikas Sharma, Er. Sachin Kumar, Er. K.K. Sharma, Er. Guru Sewak Kesharwani, Er. Archit Kapil
Outcomes
The six-day intensive FDP successfully bridged the gap between theoretical engineering designs and physical prototyping. Participating faculty members gained actionable, practical experience to drive innovation, guide student capstone projects, and contribute to institutional research excellence.
