Value Added Course on “Rooms Division Management”
Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management conducted 8 days VAC on “Rooms Division Management” from 13/4/2023 to 21/4/2023. The value-added course on “Rooms Division Management” is a value added course designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the rooms division department and its importance in the hospitality industry. This course aims to teach students the fundamental principles of room division management, its structure, and its functions in a hotel.
The course covered various aspects of room division management, including front office operations, housekeeping management, and revenue management. Students were introduced to the different job roles and responsibilities of the front office staff and housekeeping personnel, as well as the different systems and procedures involved in managing the day-to-day operations of a hotel.The course was conducted through a combination of lectures, case studies, and practical training to give students real-world exposure and practical knowledge. The course focused on the development of practical skills, including communication, problem-solving, and decision-making, essential for success in the hospitality industry. Students were also taught how to manage guest complaints, handle reservations, manage inventory, and improve customer service.
In conclusion, the value-added course on “Rooms Division Management” is an excellent program that provided students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the hospitality industry.
The course was designed to prepare students for the various roles and responsibilities involved in room division management and provide them with the practical training required to succeed in their
careers. Post VAC Test was conducted where students came out with flying colours. Feedback forms were also filled by the students. During the programme, 24 students and 03 faculty members were present.
At the end Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma thanked all the participants and coordinator for their time and dedication to make this programme successful and he also encouraged the students to participate in such events in future also.
