Two day “Sangram Sports Festival” organized at Acharya Vishnugupt Subharti College of Management and Commerce
Under the auspices of Acharya Vishnugupta Subharti College of Management and Commerce of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, the two-day Sangram Sports Festival went off with great enthusiasm and gaiety. Honorable Chancellor of Subharti University Major General Dr. G.K. Thapliyal and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shalya Raj sent their best wishes for the success of the Sangram Sports Festival.
On this occasion, Dean and Director Management and Commerce Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Ghai in his address highlighted the importance of sports in front of the students. He said that sports is very important for the all round development of the students. Because they teach us punctuality, patience, discipline, team work and dedication.
If we practice sports regularly, we can be more active and healthy. It not only provides physical strength but it also increases mental strength. On the first day of the sports festival, on 14.
04.2023, a cricket competition was organized at the Gyani Pritam Singh ground. In which the enthusiasm of both the students and teachers was visible. The match lasted for about 1:00 in which the white team B.Com (Hons.) emerged victorious. Race, long jump, shotput, tug of war and basketball were organized at General Mohan Singh Ground on 15.04.2023, the second day of the sports festival. In which all the students of the college participated enthusiastically. The teachers also encouraged the participants a lot. The prize distribution ceremony was held on 18 April 2023. In which Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Ghai awarded medals and trophies to the players and teams who got first, second and third places in each competition. Amid thunderous applause, the players who received the award were feeling proud. College sports coordinator Mr. Umang Verma and Mr. Archit Katyan played an important and commendable role in the successful conduct of the games. Looking at his commendable efforts, Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Ghai also encouraged him by awarding him. The successful conduction of the programme was done by Dr. Dolly Vaish.
