SAPNDAN: Annual Sports Fest 2025

The grand inauguration of the three-day sports competition Spandan of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University took place on 29 August 2025. The Spandan sports competition was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Professor Pramod Kumar Sharma, Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shalya Raj and Chairman of Sports Committee Lieutenant Professor Dr. Sandeep Kumar at the General Mohan Singh Sports Ground of the University. Along with this, volleyball and kho-kho matches were organized on the second day of the Spandan competition. In which both the women and men’s teams of various colleges of the university participated enthusiastically. Mr. Kuldeep Kumar Vedwan, famous international archery coach, was present as the chief guest in the volleyball and kho-kho sports competition and Dr. Pintu Mishra, Dean of Fine Arts College was present as the special guest. Lieutenant Professor Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Chairman of the University Sports Committee, told that the three-day Spandan sports competition is being organized under the joint aegis of the Physical Education Department of the University and the University Sports Committee. In which students of all faculties and departments of the university are participating in sports competitions like volleyball, kho-kho, tug of war, basketball and table tennis (men and women category). He said that sports and exercise play an important role in our life, through this our body remains fit. Vice Chancellor Professor Pramod Kumar Sharma also sent best wishes to all the participants. He said that students can also make their career in the field of sports. He told that the main objective of such competitions is to make the students skilled by polishing the hidden talents inside them. The result of the volleyball competition was as follows: In the women’s category, the first place was secured by the Department of Physical Education, second place by Pharmacy College, third place by Science College and in the men’s category, the first place was secured by Management College, second place by Engineering College, third place by Physical Education Department. The results of the Kho-Kho competition were as follows: In the women’s category, the first place was secured by the Department of Physical Education, second place by Physiotherapy College, third place by Science College and in the men’s category, the first place was secured by the Department of Physical Education, second place by Engineering College, third place by Pharmacy College. Best wishes were also sent to all the participants by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shalya Raj. She said that sports lead to physical and mental development which is very important for our life and at present there are immense employment opportunities in the field of sports. On this occasion all the members of the University Sports Committee along with all the teachers of the Physical Education Department were present.
