Mahindra Finance has undertaken Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities since 2006. The company believes in contributing to society and aims to constantly touch the lives of the underprivileged communities across the country, in and around their areas of operation. The Board of Directors at its Meeting held on 19th March 2014 approved the revised CSR Policy to align it in accordance with the provisions of Companies Act, 2013 and expanded its scope of work over and above the areas mentioned. Being a Triple Bottom Line company, they focus on three essential pillars: people, planet & profit. As part of their new CSR policy, Mahendra Finance aims to promote higher education of talented students by awarding them scholarships on the basis of their academic performance. The financial assistance is specifically targeted towards households with income less than 2 lakh per annum. The evaluation is stringent and is done through initial application scrutiny followed by personal interview. Swami Vivekanand Subharti University’s Students from the Department of Management Studies, Subharti Institute of Technology and Engineering and Acharya Vishnu Gupt College of Management & Commerce are privileged to have been selected for Mahendra Finance scholarships which will give a foundation to their career.
