Second National Seminar on “Core Values of Swami Vivekananda’s Philosophy”

Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, under the aegis of the Swami Vivekananda Chair of Studies, organized the Second National Seminar on the theme “Core Values of Swami Vivekananda’s Philosophy” to commemorate the Mahasamadhi Day of Swami Vivekananda. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from eminent dignitaries, academicians, students, and research scholars from across the country.

Inaugural Ceremony:

The seminar began with the floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s portrait by the distinguished guests:

Keynote Highlights:

  • Professor K.P. Singh emphasized that “the mantra of success lies in virtuous conduct”, and praised Subharti University for its dedication in honoring national icons. He urged students to follow Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and values to achieve success in life.
  • Swami Sarvalokananda Maharaj stated that “youth power can transform the impossible into the possible”. He encouraged the young generation to imbibe the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and contribute to nation-building with strong character and values.
  • Professor Pramod Kumar Sharma expressed that Swami Vivekananda’s vision and teachings continue to be a guiding force globally. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to promoting Swamiji’s ideals of education, service, culture, and nationalism.

Technical Sessions:

  • In a technical session, Dr. Snehveer Singh elaborated on significant events from Swami Vivekananda’s life and emphasized the relevance of disseminating his teachings in today’s era.
  • The valedictory session was graced by Prof. Dr. Dushyant Kumar, Principal, Upadhi Mahavidyalaya, Pilibhit, who integrated Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy with the New Education Policy, highlighting its modern-day importance.

Seminar Activities:

  • book launch on the life and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda was conducted.
  • Over 200 participants attended the seminar.
  • Multiple research papers were presented during various technical sessions.
  • Best paper award gone to Dr. Swati Sharma and Dr. Nyati Garg
