Skill Development Program on Acupuncture

A Skill Development Program on Acupuncture was conducted by the Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti Hospital and College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), SVSU, Meerut, on 2nd September 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the Acupuncture Room, 3rd Floor, MASCHNYS, SVSU, Meerut.

The program was organized for 2021 BNYS interns and postgraduate MD students (JR-1, JR-2, and JR-3) with the objective of enhancing their basic knowledge and practical understanding of acupuncture and its clinical applications.

Dr. Sneha  Bharti, Assistant Professor, MASCHNYS, SVSU, Meerut, served as the resource person. She explained the basic principles and working mechanism of acupuncture, along with its hands-on needling technique, therapeutic benefits, indications, and contraindications in various disorders. The session provided participants with relevant theoretical knowledge and practical insights into the safe and appropriate use of acupuncture.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Anilka Sachdeva, Demonstrator, MASCHNYS, SVSU, Meerut, who ensured effective planning, coordination, and smooth conduct of the session.

A total of 30 participants attended the program. The session contributed to the development of participants’ knowledge, clinical skills, and understanding of acupuncture as a therapeutic modality.

The participants gained an understanding of the fundamentals of acupuncture, basic needling techniques, therapeutic applications, indications, and contraindications, thereby enhancing their clinical knowledge and skill competency.
