Subharti Free Run for “Good Health and Well-Being”
Meerut, India – 7th February 2023 – Swami Vivekanand Subharti University’s Major Dhyanchand Department of Physical Education successfully organised the “Subharti Free Run for Good Health and Well Being”with regards to 2023 G-20 New Delhi Summit today.
The Subharti Free Run is in line with the university’s commitment to fostering a healthy and active community, and to promoting physical activity as a means of improving overall health and well-being focusing on goal number 3 of G20. The university believes that initiatives such as these will help to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity and encourage more people to adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
In the presence of Vice Chancellor Maj. Gen. (Dr.) G. K. Thapliyal as Chief Guest, and under the leadership of Dean Faculty of Education, Head of the Department of Physical Education and event director Prof (Dr) Sandeep Kumar, Chief Proctor Dr. Shashiraj Teotia and event coordinator Assistant Prof Arun Vasthav, the program aimed to promote fitness and well-being among students, faculty and staff.
The event saw active participation from all deans and heads, who motivated 167 participants to make the most of this initiative.
The success of this program is a testament to the university’s commitment to promoting fitness and well-being, and to making a positive impact in the lives of its students, faculty and staff.
The university plans to hold similar events in the future and will continue to lead the way in promoting healthy living and well-being.
